The Gun Show's second release Discontentment, is pure awesome. Every track is great, not one song is skip over. The Gun Show brings some heavy breakdowns in every song which, for me, is always great. The recording quality in Discontentment is again, awesome. The guitar work is some nice refreshment in this genre. The intro sweeping (I think thats what it is? Ha I dont play guitar) in "The Honest Truth" is pretty sick. The drums: heavy, fast and intricate. The vocals are great with ranges of high to low and some yells/ shouts. The lows make the heavy breakdowns even heavier. Also nice guest vocals from Andy Atkins (A Plea For Purging) in "Negligance". Also, a clean vocals from a unknown woman in "An Overview" and "Apocryphal". The album has three previous songs from their EP titled Currents: "The Agegan System", " Currents", and "Founded Upon The Seas". All three remakes offer a different twist on the song, and all sound great. The lyrics behind every song are great. Even if you aren't Christian you can still appreciate meanings of certain songs like "The Girl".
Overall, Discontentment is an amazing piece of work and should be checked out.
